basically, i went to an estate sale with my mom and saw this lovely teddy bear, slouched down and alone. it looks like this teddy has received a lot of love in their lifetime and i didn't feel right leaving them behind. wearing a dashing red bow - this bear is ready to live again!

a humorous 8 page pamphlet of recipes and soap opera stories about "the hidden world of Manwich Valley." there are five "short stories", each following a different woman, paired with their own Manwich recipes! somehow, Manwich solves each of their problems. the booklet doesn't have a year, but my research came up with 1988. i highly recommend reading the stories but cannot stand by the recipes. "for food lovers with a penchant for drama and suspense, you are about to embark..."




getting your baby's shoes bronzed was a big thing between 1920 and 1950. parents would usually send off their child's first walking shoes to be bronzed as a keepsake. this pair has leather soles, which likely dates them to before 1960, when rubber soles became more common. i like to imagine this shoe saw bright green grass, blooming flowers, and unknown bugs.
